Everybody Has a Story: Day 3-Jenn & Her Yummy Cakes!

Jenn loves to make cake. Yummy cake. Beautiful cake.

As part of our project this month, we will be interviewing some of our vendors that give our clients discounts. Book a wedding with us and you can buy a cake from Jenn and get 20% off. :) You can find more of our vendors on our website at www.freckletonphotography.com -- look under "information/pricing" and then "special discounts".

Jenn first started making cakes when she was younger. Her mom, Cindy, took some classes and then taught her girls. Her favorite medium is fondant which is what this cake is made of.

Jenn has an incredible eye for detail. Her work is impeccable and she is a wonderful artist. You won't be disappointed! If you are interested in ordering a cake from her, email us at mail@freckletonphotography.com or call her at 208.390.5373

While we had our cameras out, we did a little family photo shoot. Hubby, Shaun, works with his family in construction. He's a whiz when it comes to drywall.

Hmmm.....seems that flickr is out of commission for the time being. We'll have to post the rest of our pics later. Have sweet dreams of cake and we'll see you tomorrow for the rest of this post and a new one that is bound to be entertaining!

Flickr is now wroking-so here is the rest of the post--you won't want to miss this story:

The beautiful Hailey, who was not camera shy in the least bit and was so much fun to do a session with.

Both Jenn and Shaun have a love for animals. They told us about their gerbel farm--which happened by mistake. Jennifer and her twin sister Jamie had pets growing up--and this story is a family favorite to tell.

One bird that they had was named Woodstock. Woodstock was not doing so well, so the girls were told that the bird needed to be put to sleep. Well their dad decided that he did not want to pay to have the bird put to sleep, so he set out with his own method of disposing of the bird. After he thought the bird was dead, he opened the box and much to his surprise the bird promptly sat up, looked at him and said "hello". Well, needless to say, the duty finally got done--but this is not the end of the story. Jenn and her sister had never heard this story until someone was telling it at a family party only a couple of years ago, and that is where the learned the fate of their beloved Woodstock.

Thanks again Shaun, Jenn and Hailey--you were amazing to photograph.
